Bailiff training got underway this evening with 17 candidates attending our offices to learn the finer points of bailiffing and how to get through the exam. Jim Henderson from the Nith DSFB generously gave his time to share his knowledge of the profession and to ensure candidates are well equipped to pass the exam in December.

Potential bailiffs came from across Ayrshire with the Irvine  and Ayr catchments very well represented. The Stinchar DSFB also put forward candidates for the Spring exam. Given recent reports of increased poaching on some local rivers, there has never been a better time to see so many willing volunteers turning out. Well done to you all.

A room full of future bailiffs

Anyone interested in becoming a bailiff should get in touch with the Trust to discuss requirements and to arrange their place on the March exam.
